It was a dawn with its own beauty,

The windowpane showed nature's bounty.

Almighty has bestowed mankind in plenty,

With pleasure, I started for my duty.

The day was fine and quite patient,

Until we got an electrocution patient.

His extremities and trunk totally charred,

It was my heart, which got scarred.

His vitals declared that he was stable,

He admitted to touching a damaged cable,

Our inventions proclaim us more able,

In addition, they make our lives vulnerable.

Our treatment may enable us to revive,

But, disfigured and disabled, he will survive.

Might his life come to an untimely halt,

In case arrhythmia sets in his heart.

I acknowledge that death in inevitable,
